Metro 6R4 Produced in 1984, the 2991cc 90 degree 24v V6 engine
developed 410 bhp @ 9000 rpm in 'International spec' and 270ftlb torque @ 6500
rpm. With a 5 speed gearbox delivering power to all 4 wheels it achieved 0 - 60
mph in 4.3 seconds. Developed by Williams Grand Prix Engineering to a specification
by Patrick Head, the 6R4 was created to exploit the infamous Group B rules, giving
over 400 bhp in 'works' trim and 250 bhp in Clubman spec. Initially used a Rover
V8 engine shortened to a V6 with new heads and blocks to create an entirely new

Maestro Launched in 1983 with the 1598cc R series engine, upgraded
to the 1600cc S series engine in July 1984 with the 2.0 EFi O series engine from
October 1984 until the end of production in 1991. In
its final form with electronic fuel injection it developed 115 bhp @ 5500 rpm,
34lbft @ 2800 rpm. Honda derived 5-speed gearbox. Top speed 115 mph and 0 - 60
